Kannaamoochi enadaa is a second film for Director Priya. She has to go a long
way. She could have knit the whole story with twists and turns especially with a
very efficient team of actors like Satyaraj, Radhika and Sripriya. The movie is
definitely worth watching at home with a plate full of mixture on a comfortable
reclining sofa. From the day of the release I was eagerly looking forward to seeing
this film as I was very much impressed by Pruthviraj's performance in 'Mozhi'
He has done an excellent job playing the role of the young software architect in
Malaysia.
The internet played kannamoochi(hide and seek) everyday by showing 'house
full' and so when I got the ticket (just 3seats available) I jumped with joy. To my
utter dismay the other seats were half full or half empty.
Neither the music by Yuvan Shankar Raja nor the lyrics by Thamarai is worth
mentioning.
With a very thin story line of love at first sight or fight between Harish, the Iyer
boy and Deva ( played by the sweet and adorable Sandya) at Malaysia, the
story shifts to Chennai. The lovers decide to attend the 25th wedding anniversary
ofSandyas parents.(played by Satyaraj who portrays the roleof a commissionerwith
much ease and Radhika.was equally good)Arumugam shows his dislike openly and Harish
impresses other membersof the family.
Harish who lost his parents early was brought up by his uncle, played by Radha
Ravi. His uncle also disapproves of his love and so he writes a letter to Arumugam
that Harish was dismissed from his service and he has no job. So when Satyaraj
reveals this to Sandya she was furious and calls Harish a cheat.
Finally the lovers were united when Pruthviraj struggles to unite Satyaraj and
Radhika who were separated due to misunderstanding.
The first half moves fast with funny and comical acting and dialogues especially
when Satyraj and pruthviraj meet.
The movie was enjoyable as it was devoid of stunt scenes or vulgar dances.
Plus Points: Veteran actors,dialogues
Minus Points: Story,illogical sequences
